Now Accepting Applications for Summer Internships
PPEHRC is looking for students interested in social and economic justice to take part in summer internships. This is a great opportunity to learn from seasoned leaders about organizing for economic human rights and be part of the movement to end poverty.
Interns’ primary responsibilities will center on preparations for the 2015 United States Social Forum (USSF) in Philadelphia USSF-related tasks will include managing communications technology and social media, getting students and other populations involved in the USSF process, and connecting with local organizations and artists. Interns will also have opportunities to work on PPEHRC’s urban farm, organize fundraising efforts, and be involved with home defense and anti-foreclosure work.
Participants in the summer internship program will live with PPEHRC host families in North Philadelphia. The program runs from June 16 to August 1, but the actual dates of your attendance can be tailored to fit your availability.
