Kenzo urban farm needs help!

kensington farmFriends, we have bad news for PPEHRC this morning. After hours and hours of hard labor from may amazing people on our farm someone came and took all of our raised beds and wood from our farm last night. We can’t let this get us down. We are growing the food on this farm because we need to feed our families. So we will continue!! We need your help too. If you have any dirt, wood, plants, lawnmowers, weed whackers, any tools for yard work, and some time to spend on the farm we really need your help.

The Kenzo Urban Farm is trying to meet the needs of hundreds of hungry people in the neighborhood with fresh produce. We are using fresh produce and urban farming to help people get involved and doing educationals to raise awareness about the need and plight of people who are surviving without proper nutrition and access to food. If you don’t live in Philly you can send a contribution to the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign by following this link: http://economichumanrights.org/?page_id=13 (the donation page on our website) and all the money will go directly to the farm. We want to thank Bread and Roses and Occupy Philadelphia for their recent financial contributions to the farm.

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THE AMAZING PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN HELPING ON THE FARM!! LETS NOT LET THIS GET US DOWN!!

Please contact Galen Tyler at (215)-883-9771 or email at Galenkwru@gmail.com if you are interested in making a donation or getting involved with the farm in any way.
